Top Foods For Eye Health
Fight dirty when it comes to your eye health. According to the AAO, American Academy of Ophthalmology, these four foods are the best to make part of your diet in the fight to maintain healthy eyes.
- Kale - It is high in lutein and zeaxanthin which is believed to lower the risk for age-related macular degeneration. Other leafy greens are a good source too.
- Salmon - Rich in omega-3 fatty acid, these fish, and other cold water fish help prevent eye disease.
- Oranges - Vitamin C is critical to eye health. Oranges and all the citrus family are great sources of Vitamin C.
- Black-eyed Peas - All legumes contain high levels of Zinc, which can help protect eyes from sunlight.
