Keratoconus is a word that you may have never heard before when it comes to your eye health, but perhaps it’s something that you have dealing with. Keratoconus causes the cornea to become weaker and thinner and it goes from more round to bulging cone-like. This can impact your vision by making it blurry or distorted and it can even cause nearsightedness.

Keratoconcus  cannot be reversed but it can be managed with glasses or soft contacts for mild cases. In the event of stronger cases, it might require hard or special contact lenses or even a corneal transplant.
