Tips For Healthy Eyesight For Your Children This School Year
Attention Phenix City, Smiths Station and Columbus Parents: The school year is just around the corner.
We're pretty sure you're aware, but just in case you live under a rock, the school year will be here before you know it. With it comes the responsibility to make sure your kids are ready for school. That means a trip to the eye doctor too!
Here are few tips to make sure your students vision are where they need to be:
- Routine eye screenings - We need to see your child once per year.
- Know your family eye history - You need to know if you family has a history a lazy eye or many other eye conditions so that you can be on the lookout for symptoms in your child.
- Know the signals of eye problems - Squinting, headaches, or complain of eyestrain are just a few symptoms.
- Protective eyewear in sports - Especially with children in stick or racket sports, need to wear eye protection.
