The CDC, Centers For Disease Control, is reporting in a new study that almost one-third of adults and teenagers report wearing their contacts while either showering or swimming.

The problem with trend is that contact lenses can absorb bacteria and germs from the water and transfer them directly to the eye, significantly increasing your chance for an eye infection. The recommendation is that prior to showering or swimming that you remove your contact lenses.
