What Are Cataracts?

Risk Factors Increasing Cataracts

When the normally clear lens of your eye becomes cloudy, then you have cataracts. Cataracts are common in the United States, with over 200,000 cases each year and the good news is that they are treatable.

Symptoms of cataracts may be blurred vision, light may seem too bright or glaring, and colors may not seem as bright as they once were. The exact symptoms can vary based on the particular type of cataracts that you have.

Treatment can range from surgery to stronger bifocals and proper lighting. The type and severity of the disease will determine the treatment necessary, but the good news, like we said earlier, is that they are treatable..

If you have questions about your cataracts or you think you might have them, contact our team. We're here to help!
