What Do You Know About Thyroid Eye Disease?

Thyroid Eye Disease

Thyroid eye disease or Grave's disease is a complication from thyroid disorders. It is  a result of autoimmune diseases where the body attacks the thyroid. The symptom is typically swelling of the tissue around the eyes becoming enlarged.

In Grave's disease, the eyes begin to appear bulging and scarring can occur on the cornea. They eyelids retract inward and the muscles behind the eyes begin to become damaged.
