The Future Of Eye Health In Phenix City
A recent article in the Boston Business Journal
highlighted the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and their development of a contact lens that could dispense drugs.
Patients that suffer from glaucoma would be able to wear the contact lenses and receive drugs from them more effectively than the current eye drops that are used for treating glaucoma.
Researchers are still the in the testing phase but the early results look promising and it could mean that in the near future our Phenix City residents with glaucoma could have help.
