Pediatric Eye Health Must Be A Priority

National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health

According to a recent article from the Tampa Tribune, 10 million children in the US have eye problems that have not been diagnosed and only 14% will have had an eye exam by the age of 6.

This is a staggering figure given the direct relationship with a child's development and their ability to see clearly. There are many opportunities to address long-term eye health concerns when a child is young, but it is imperative that young children have routine eye exams.

Our Gordy EyeCare team has long been a proponent of eye health for children and it's one of the large reasons why we have pushed to create a family friendly practice.

If you think that your child might be struggling to see. Or there is a history of eye health in your family, come see us today.
