Attention Ladies: Wearing Fake Eyelashes Could Have Unintended Side Effects
Women have long coveted long and beautiful eyelashes. As a result, fake eyelashes have become a go to for women, especially on special occasions, as a way to enhance their beauty. However, as revealed in a recent study, fake eyelashes may be causing more harm than getting the glue in your eyes.
According to researchers at Georgia Tech, their study revealed that our eyelashes, along with 22 other animals, are proportionate to the width of our eyes. The optimal length of the eyelash is designed to keep the eye moist and keep dust and particulate from entering the eye. The study revealed that false lashes can actually accelerate dry eye and the amount of dust and particulate that enters the eye.
