Can Omega-3 Fatty Acids Improve Dry Eye?

Omega-3 fatty acids help combat dry eye

Dry eye is problematic for your eyes. It impairs visual function and makes it hard for you to see day-to-day. There are many causes for dry eye, but a majority of people don't ever report that they suffer from dry eye.

However, there is potential good news for dry eye suffers, as growing research is supporting that increased levels of omega-3 fatty acids can diminish the prostglandin-induced ocular inflammation that is a main cause of dry eye.

Stay tuned to our blog for more information as it becomes available. In the meantime, if you think you may suffer from dry eye, contact our office. We'd like to set an appointment with you to look at the cause of your dry eye.
